Tip! Don’t run with your loaded firearm. There is seldom a need to run while hunting.

The Grey Squirrel is an animal that we are well acquainted with. While many people like looking at these furry creatures the grey squirrels are also considered as being good game animals. You will usually find that these squirrels and their cousins the fox squirrels are also hunted. Unlike other game animals the squirrels are though of as being the ideal medium for young hunters to learn about hunting. Since catching a Grey Squirrel takes practice it is indeed a good way for you to practice your shooting skills and stalking methods. The best way to find the grey squirrels for hunting is to become acquainted with your hunting environment and prey. As grey squirrels are mainly nuts and fruit eaters you should look for the trees in which they forage for food. Likewise the trees and hollows where they nest are ideal locations to find a grey squirrel. The best trees for these purposes are Hickory nut trees, Red Oaks and also white Oaks. With these trees you will also find these squirrels near corn and bird feeders. While these are just indications of where the squirrel’s territory is, you will need to employ other methods in order to bag these small game prizes. Once you have found the Grey Squirrel territory you will need to decide the best hunting techniques to use. The most sensible approach to take is therefore to choose the time in which to start your hunting. You should also have clothing which will disguise you from the presence of the squirrels. The Grey Squirrel is an active feeder during the early morning hours, the middle of the day and also just before dusk. To hunt the Grey Squirrel you will need to take one of two approaches to hunting. You can either use a stand hunting technique or that of the still hunting. In the stand hunting the hunter waits for the squirrels to approach. Once the hunter has the Grey Squirrel in their sights the use of a 22-caliber rifle will provide them with the shot they require. In the stalking or still hunting technique you sneak up on your target. Having downed your squirrel catch you can start back for home and prepare to cook your squirrel. You could on the other hand catch more squirrels using the one you have as bait. For those individuals who are interested in small game hunting the Grey Squirrel offers lots of opportunities. This animal is also a great way for novice hunters to learn all about woodland animals and the hunting of these creatures. As with many different animals the Grey Squirrel is also a great meat to cook and eat.

Tip! Carefully remove your firearm from its case. Do not load the weapon until you are actually hunting.

Summary: Hunting rifles have a significant effect on technology advancement; in fact it’s featured in every part of history. I always have a passion for hunting rifles though I am not an avid fan for hunting myself. It’s the hunting rifle that fascinates me. No, I’m not a dreadful psycho who revels in chains and instruments of death and torture, it’s not the physics of ballistics but its component of history that I am captivated with. For me hunting rifles are pieces of history, the science of gunpowder that set most of our technology running today. Hunting rifles have a significant effect on technology advancement; in fact it’s featured in every part of history. I always thought of the event when the 16th century flint& lock musket that rendered armors useless, or even those cheap blunderbuss that are used to board enemy ships. Or the Battles of Lexington and Concord where the outnumbered minutemen with their hunting rifles heroically defended Middlesex County against the British Regulars. Shot of Time At first there was hunting. Game hunting evolves eons ago where primitive man learns to get sustenance by using weapons. As the need grew, the technology of hunting grew. Now the early forms of ballistics and trajectory have been learnt by the use of bow and arrow. Such was the success of that invention that it was used for the majority of the human existence*. *Note: Archery was thought to exist roughly 50,000 due to an excavation of the same date revealing stone arrowheads in Africa. Archery (and all other forms) was a dominant range attack until it was replaced by guns somewhere in the 17th century. The Advent of Gunpowder Though certain records show that gunpowder had been in production as early as 1247 in Europe there had been no reference in actual rifle use or its early forms. The siege of Seville did mention but at this time, cannons were now loaded will gunpowder to facilitate longer range. The Chinese did have early accounts on inventing gunpowder though there had been no records yet of guns. Hand guns did appear on Italian knights in 1397 where they fire before engaging. These “hand guns” where literally small cannons. It was clear 1498, after Christopher Columbus discovered the Americas when the rifling technology was really discovered. Muskets and harquebus, flint lock rifles began to render the plate armor useless. Truly hunting rifles are magnificent pieces. No other single item has much history behind it than a hunting rifle. Take an authentic Winchester for instance and learn about its role in the Indian wars. Or perhaps a browning and its role in the first world war. Hunting rifles are things from the past but their legacy still runs far into the future. Aside from history, they may or may not be effective on the woods but they do make really gorgeous centerpieces.

Tip! When you arrive at the hunting scene, watch what others are doing. If they swing the barrel of their rifle or shotgun your way, warn them about it.

Given the fact that there are multiple applicants for any opening and H.R professionals spend less than a few seconds in scanning a resume before either accepting it or consigning it to the waste bin, the importance of a good resume cannot be overstated. A well written resume is the proverbial foot in the door that can lead to greater opportunities, and in the case of a job seeker, that translates to an interview, and if all goes well, the job.

Tip! There’s no problem seeking the help of an expert. Ask your local ranger of a wildlife conversation officer what the possible small game hunting animals you can see during that season.

Summary: Some are desperate some are fictitious, but they are best treasure hunts in history Are you interested in hunting for the Holy Grail? Or chasing the ends of the rainbow? Because if you do you are not the first in the long line of treasure hunters; some are legendary and some with names that have been long forgotten by time. Treasure hunting more often relates to archeology if rather by coincidence. Since most prized treasure artifacts are those that have a tale behind it or somehow carrying a key to unlock a mystery, treasure hunts always include a significant study of archeology. One such treasure hunting figure is Howard Carter, whose finds made him one of the immortal names of treasure hunters. Welcome to Tutankhamen’s Tomb Tutankhamen was an unknown pharaoh. Dying before reaching his prime (at the age of 9) Egyptian chronicles nowhere mentioned his name. When Howard Carter discovered his tomb, not only his name was printed in most textbook, much of the ancient Egyptian life was revealed. Tutankhamen’s tomb was the best preserved and most intact pharaoh’s tomb ever found in the Valley of the Kings. Carter’s greatest find was the gold funerary mask of the boy-king. Now it sits in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. It is by far the best treasure of Egypt. See the mask: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Tutankhamun-mask.jpg However, the relation of archeology and treasure hunting is not always true, like the Gold Panning which severely hit the Americas during the Industrial Revolution. The Gold Rush Gold panning may be mining but due to its nature of activity, it is more apt to be called treasure hunting. Gold rush is a period where a feverish migration of workers occurred on an area where commercial quantities of gold were discovered. The Klondike Gold Rush is perhaps the most famous, of the 100,000 gold prospectors (including their families), only 30,000 made it to Dawson City. Fictional characters in novels and screenplays are evidences of man’s inclination to epic adventures of treasure hunting. Like Indiana Jones’ treasure hunting exploits; or the infamous Long John Silver and the Treasure Island. All of which depict our fondness for treasure hunting. By the way, the Holy Grail is regard as the most valuable unfound treasure. Literature has mentioned the Grail over the years. The Knights of the Round Table at one time had embarked on a crusade for the Grail; Indiana Jones hunted and found the Grail, and even video games such as Interplay’s Fall Out made several citations about the hunt for the Holy Grail. Even then, many speculations surround the authenticity of the grail. Who knows, if you are interested enough in seeking this sacred relic, it may just turn up in your backyard and your name will be forever embedded among the legendary treasure hunters.

Tip! You should have a case for your gun. Place the unloaded rifle or shotgun or handgun in its case when not hunting or target shooting.
